Pantos are an extremely popular type of musical comedy in
the United Kingdom and Ireland during the holiday season.
They’re designed for family entertainment, generally
combining gender-crossing actors and topical humor with
a story more or less based on a well-known fairy tale, fable
or folk tale.

 The audience is encouraged to sing along, stand
up and dance, and shout out phrases to the performers. As
